Short History of Tequila

Tequila’s origins date back to pre-Hispanic Mexico, where the Aztecs fermented agave. In the 16th century, Spanish colonists introduced distillation, leading to the creation of tequila as we know it. Today, tequila is protected by a Denomination of Origin and is produced in Jalisco and select regions.

Styles of Tequila

1. Blanco: Unaged, showcasing pure agave flavors.
2. Reposado: Aged 2–12 months, with smooth vanilla and oak notes.
