Story and Accolades:
The Flor de Las Antillas Toro Gordo expands the acclaimed Flor de Las Antillas line with a larger, more commanding vitola that delivers a deeper, cooler, and slower-burning experience. Handcrafted in Nicaragua by the Garcia family, this box-pressed Toro Gordo is cloaked in a smooth and oily Nicaraguan Sun-Grown wrapper and packed with all-Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos grown on the Garcias' own estates.
Named after Cuba—the “Flower of the Antilles”—this line captures the essence of classic Cuban tradition blended with the bold, earthy character of Nicaraguan soil. Though the Toro size received the prestigious #1 Cigar of the Year award from Cigar Aficionado in 2012, the Toro Gordo has carved out its own place among enthusiasts who appreciate a longer, richer expression of the original blend. Smooth and balanced with a subtle crescendo of spice, it's a luxurious smoke from foot to finish.
Pairing:
Ideal with an aged Armagnac, a creamy café latte, or a well-balanced tawny port. Try it with spiced nuts, biscotti, or dark chocolate ganache for a truly indulgent pairing.
