Flavor Profile:
The T52 Toro delivers a bold, savory experience with a uniquely spicy complexity. Rich notes of pepper, oak, roasted coffee, and earthy leather dominate, balanced by underlying hints of dark chocolate, cinnamon, and a touch of natural sweetness. The stalk-cut sun-grown wrapper imparts a dense, hearty flavor, creating a slightly grittier, more robust smoking experience than the No. 9. The result is a smoke that is both powerful and perfectly refined, offering an exceptionally smooth and chewy mouthfeel with a peppery, lingering finish.
Story and Accolades:
The Liga Privada T52 project began as a quest to create a blend as legendary as the No. 9, but with a totally different character. After exhaustive research and blending trials, Drew Estate introduced the T52 — utilizing an extremely rare, stalk-cut, sun-grown Habano seed wrapper from Connecticut's River Valley. This labor-intensive harvesting method, where the entire stalk is cut to retain oils and sugars, yields a leaf of extraordinary flavor and strength. Handcrafted by Drew Estate’s most experienced rollers, the T52 Toro has been celebrated with ratings up to 94 by Cigar Aficionado and revered by cigar connoisseurs worldwide for its boldness, complexity, and flawless construction.
Pairing:
Best paired with a smoky Islay Scotch, a bold imperial porter, or a high-rye bourbon to complement and elevate its intense flavor profile.
