Established in 1839, the distillery is renowned for its meticulous maturation process and the iconic 12-point Royal Stag emblem adorning each bottle. This expression is matured for the first nine years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. Subsequently, half of the whisky is transferred to 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks for an additional three years, while the remaining half continues aging in bourbon casks. This dual maturation imparts a complex character, balancing sweet and spicy notes with a rich, full-bodied profile.
